ProfMOF is a Norway-based company within the chemical industry. Established in 2015 and building on more than 10 years of research and development carried out by the University of Oslo, ProfMOF provides world class Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) for industrial applications. In cooperation with our industrial partners we are continuously studying potential applications for MOFs. Aiming for the highest quality, large volumes, and reduced costs, ProfMOF can produce a wide diversity of materials in addition to our product line of zirconium MOFs.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Within the HySTrAm project, ProfMOF serves as the lead partner for development and optimization of porous material for short term hydrogen storage. Working in coordination with other partners, ProfMOF will identify and produce hydrogen-sorbent MOFs, including promising candidates which have been identified through machine learning. As the project proceeds, ProfMOF will upscale the production of MOF for provision to partners for forming and testing, integration into a storage vessel, and application within the pilot plant.
